Officer Newman has been a member of the Johnstown Police Dept. since 2005, and is assigned to the Patrol division
Prior coming to JPD, Officer Newman had worked for Jackson Twp. police Dept. and Dale Boro Police Dept.

Officer Newman is a former EMT for the West End Ambulance Service and has attended training at the Luzerne County Community College for Fire Science Technology.
