Detective Larry Wagner has been a member of the Johnstown Police Department since January of 1989. His current duty assignment is with the department's Bureau of Criminal Investigation.
Detective Wagner's other duties include: Evidence Control, S.E.R.T. Team Crisis Negotiator and Bicycle Patrol.
Detective Wagner holds a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology from the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown. He completed his municipal police officer's training at the Allegheny County Regional Police Academy.

Detective Wagner has received training from the Pennsylvania State Police, Pennsylvania Fire Academy, FBI, ATF and the United States Navy Seal Team Four.
