A four year veteran of the United States Army, Sgt Jeffers is a Vietnam combat veteran.
Sgt Jeffers is a 36 years veteran of the Johnstown Police Department. He became a member of the Johnstown Police Department on August 11, 1970. He has worked in the Bureau of Criminal Investigations and was a member of the Police Color Guard. He was assigned as a supervisor in the Patrol Division and recently transferred to the Community Oriented Policing (C.O.P.) Program.
Sgt. Jeffers sets a fine example of professionalism and dedication and has offered a lot of advice and experience to the young officers just starting a law enforcement career.
He has taken courses through the F.B.I., Pa State Police, Allentown M.P.A. and St. Francis College.

Sgt Jeffers works with several youth groups in the City of Johnstown and with his church, Mt. Sinai, where he's the Chairman of the Trustee Board.
