The Bureau of Criminal Investigation (B.C.I.) comprised of four detectives and a Detective Sergeant. The detectives are assigned to investigate all major felony offenses to include Homicide, Arson, Burglary, Robbery, Rape, Child Abuse and White Collar Crimes. Detectives also handle all Drug Investigations.
Detectives have received specialized training in Crime Scene Processing, Interview and Interrogation, Drug Investigation, Crisis Negotiations, Arson Detection and Investigation, Child Abuse Investigations and Homicide Investigations.

The five members of the Johnstown Police Detective Bureau have a combined total of 54 years of experience in Law Enforcement. They Have been very successful in obtaining convictions against many serious criminals.
