It is the goal of the Johnstown Police Cyber Station to educate the public on the operations and divisions of the Johnstown Police Department.

The Cyber Station is loaded with interactive activities for our viewers and is equipped with a Tip Line where visitors can send crime tips and information directly to the Johnstown Police. JPD Updates Mobile Data

The Johnstown Police Department along with IT specialist In-Shore Technologies of Johnstown,
have upgraded the mobile data terminals in the patrol cars. JPD was on the forefront several years ago with lap top
computers in the vehicles. Now with the latest technology and upgraded equipment, Officers will be able to most of the day to day function of police work from their vehicles.

Officers will be able to do reports and retrieve filed reports, do crash reports, run driver & registration information, look up wanted persons and photos. This should reduce time spent in a building at a landline desk top computer, allowing officers to be more visible in the community and have a quicker response time.
